Pet Care Tips

Should your furry love leave a little dribble (or more) on the carpeting or floor, don’t reach for the bleach. Use vinegar instead. This environment-friendly liquid can act as an effective odor-remover and can kill mold and bacteria. Please keep in mind, though, that vinegar must be diluted correctly with water.

Board Meeting Minutes 11/03/11

 

 

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. at the Belle Villa Clubhouse.

 

Roll call was taken, all members present.

 

Secretary read the October meeting minutes. Trustee Delaney motioned to accept minutes as read, Chair seconded. Motion carried.

 

Treasurers  report: Treasurer and Secretary changed signers on the bank account. New credit/debit card will be delivered within a week. Information obtained to cancel c.card machine. All purchases/payments need to be approved by the Board also require two members’ signatures. Treasurer would like pre-approval for bills occurring on a regular bases. Approval to make payment when new phone service is set up. Bank account current balance is $918.60. Chair motioned to accept report, Trustee Ostrowski seconded. Motion carried.

 

Fundraising was discussed, few ideas from Board and Volunteers. Michele Gibson Pierson will check on first aid kits she suggests we sell. Treasurer and Secretary will check into partnering with Pet Smart for Santa with pet photos. JoAnn Super suggested Mars little people fundraiser. Trustee Delaney motioned, Chair seconded. Motion carried

 

Business card designs discussed. Trustee Delaney would like an ark with animals. Treasurer suggested BAARC's Arc. Everyone would like to see other animals added to our logo. Would like ideas, with drawings included, emailed to Board so a decision can be made by December 3rd meeting.

 

Trustee Elwart has been in touch with Tim Nickell making web corrections. Would like him to add a sponsor page. Sponsors will be asked if they would like to be added. Secretary is waiting for a response from Waste Management as to their decision on a donation. Motion by Chair, Trustee Delaney seconded. Motion carried.

 

Discussion on all BAARC Forms. Samples of all types were passed out and will be looked over for Board approval.

 

The loss of BAARC's phone # was discussed. Secretary found information from American voice mail service, $8.95 per month, or pay 1 year get 2 months free. Service will be set up when the credit card is delivered. A one minute greeting of our choice can be added after service is set up. Each Member will have a pin # to check the messages. Treasurer  motioned, Vice Chair seconded. Motion carried.

 

Volunteer brought up her involvement in using BAARC's name to stop tattoo sales at Meijer. Everything will be done as a Board, volunteers cannot use BAARC's name on their own. Vice Chair motioned, Chair seconded. Motion carried.

 

Trustee Ostrowski talked about Hoeft Road property. Need to find out who the owner is and get a title search. Vice Chair announced we have an attorney, pro bono, that can check the title and ownership of the property. Chair motioned, Trustee Elwart seconded. Motion carried.

 

Non Agenda: Vice Chair will get the P.O. Box key from Kathy Ward.  He would like us to find an accountant, he has one that will do it but the fee would be $500.-$700. Chair motioned to have Trustee Elwart & Michele Gibson Pierson as the Accountant Committee, Trustee Delaney seconded. Motion carried. Trustee Delaney suggested we call and ask for an extension on the 501c3 correction deadline of 11/26/11.

 

Next meeting was set for December 1st, Belle Villa Clubhouse, at 6:30 p.m.

 

Trustee Delaney motioned, Chair seconded to adjourn the meeting at 8:17p.m.
