BAARC Board Meeting Minutes 12/01/11 The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. at the Belle Villa Clubhouse. Roll call was taken, Vice Chair & Treasurer were absent and excused, all other members present. Trustee Delaney motioned to accept November meeting minutes, Trustee Elwart seconded. Motion carried. Secretary set up BAARC's new phone #734-707-8124, she will monitor phone calls daily. Unfinished Business: Business cards were discussed. Trustee Delaney would like a cartoonish ark with animals & would like member positions on the back of the cards with blanks to fill in the current names, so they will be current, even when members change. Voting on design was postponed until January meeting. Website is current to date. The agendas and meeting minutes are now posted regularly. We will be setting up a paypal account so we can accept donations on the website. Trustee Ostrowski filled us in on the kennel property, The Buster Foundation is looking into purchasing the property. Fundraising ideas were discussed, Chair checked into animal first aid kits and would like input on putting together our own kits to sell. Trustee Elwart is checking into the 3 Kings for a poker fundraider. The M&M raffle winner will be drawn on February 14, 2012. We will be posting a picture of the M&M on the website, Rosemary also said she would put raffle information in the Independent. (She also offered to sell the tickets at her office.) Trustee Ostrowski would like donation jars set up in local business, Chair offered to supply jars. Trustee Delaney and Secretary checked with PetSmart on pet with santa photo program, they already have a partner. Trustee Delaney motioned, Trustee Elwart seconded. Motion carried. Unfinished Business, item #6 (application information) was removed. Chair motioned, Trustee Elwart seconded. Motion carried. Report on the dog park, we will post on the website and in the Independent that the dog park will be opening in the spring. New Business: Amendment to bylaws to change the 10 day notification period for posting the agenda to (3) business days. Trustee Delaney motioned, Trustee Elwart seconded. Motioned carried. Trustee Delaney motioned to assign Secretary as the Resident Agent for the Michigan Dept. of Labor & Economic Growth Bureau, Trustee Elwart seconded. Motion carried. Trustee Delaney motioned Secretary will file the amendments to the Articles of Incorporation, Trustee Elwart seconded. Motion carried. Non Agenda: (7:10 p.m.) Short discussion on dog park opening and signage, fundraiser suggestions and website update information. Next meeting was set for January 5, 2012, Belle Villa Clubhouse, at 6:30 p.m. Chair motioned, Trustee Ostrwoski seconded to adjourn the meeting at 7:21 p.m. Respectfully submitted by the Secretary. |
